Perkembangan website dari web 1.0 sampai dengan 4.0 membuat banyak teknologi pengembangan website. Mulai Bahasa pemrograman, Frameworks, Content Management System (CMS), Static Site Generator (SSG), dan lain. Masing-masing memiliki karakteristik, kelebihan, kekurangannya masing-masing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan antara 2 yang digunakan saat ini, yaitu menggunakan CMS SSG. Ada 10 kriteria sebagai pembanding SSG, komponen, jenis website, kecepatan layanan, fleksibilitas, security, source-control, development speed vs skala konten dinamis, admin page, hosting. Pendekatan SSG cocok aplikasi kecil atau statis sedikit interaksi pengguna. menengah dinamis Berdasarkan hasil survey ke upworks freelancer, trend masih kalah dibandingkan CMS.
